To set-up a handicap and become a member of the NHGA you have two options.
The Golf Handicap and Information Network (GHIN) is one of the world's largest handicap computation services. GHIN is provided through 71 state and regional golf associations to more than 12,400 clubs in 41 states comprising approximately 2 million golfers. The NHGA provides each member club with installation, training and tech support needed to run the GHIN Handicap Program.
The NHGA does not charge its members clubs for junior golfers who maintain a handicap index with the GHIN program. The NHGA administers the GHIN system to over 100 member facilities throughout New Hampshire. In 2018, the NHGA will provide Handicap Indexes to more than 18,000 golfers on the GHIN system.
The National Revision Schedule mandates all golf clubs (domestic only) must revise on the 1st and the 15th of each month during the calendar year. Any non-member club of an authorized golf association must observe any inactive season established by the authorized golf association that has jurisdiction in its area. New Hampshire's active season runs from April 1 to October 31st.
