June 24th, 2015

Author: Greg Howell
Salem, NH – One year ago Brandon Gillis (Green Meadow GC) sat behind the 18th green and watched James McKee receive the Junior Championship Trophy. 2015 is a new year with a new story. Gillis took down McKee in the second round of match play 2 & 1, and Wednesday morning he was able to claim the 2015 New Hampshire Junior Championship.

Gillis beat Alec Brunelle (Atkinson Resort & CC) 3&2 in the only match of the day on Wednesday. Brunelle, also age sixteen, made some great putts during the first nine holes which kept the match close. Gillis never trailed during the match and only lost two holes.

Brandon will be at Bretwood GC on Tuesday, June 30th for a United States Junior Amateur Championship Qualifier.
