Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Golf Association (NHGA) is happy to pass along the news that Greg Howell, current NHGA Tournament Director, has accepted a position at Mass Golf working as the Manager of New England Golf Association Operations and USGA Qualifying.  Howell will commence his new job in Norton, Massachusetts on February 1st.
With his golf administration roots in New Hampshire, Greg joined the NHGA as the P.J. Boatwright Jr. Intern in May of 2013. He was asked to join the NHGA full-time in November of 2014 as the Director of Member Services & Junior Golf. In October of 2015, Howell was promoted to his current role of Tournament Director. In that role, Howell served as the main point of contact for all players and host clubs for the 10 NHGA championships and numerous other one and two-day events on the NHGA tournament schedule.
In his new position with Mass Golf, Howell will be tasked with managing the three New England Golf Association (NEGA) championships; the New England Amateur, New England Junior Invitational, and New England Senior.  He will also conduct all USGA championship qualifying events within Massachusetts.  New Hampshire golfers will have a familiar face to see when playing in any of these tournaments.
“I am incredibly excited to be joining the team at Mass Golf, but I will miss all of the people that have helped me make New Hampshire home for the past six years”, says Howell.
“I want to thank all of the incredible individuals I have had the opportunity to work with here in the Granite State. Working everyday alongside the NHGA staff and volunteers as well as all of the hard-working staff at each of the NHGA facilities has been a true pleasure for the past six seasons.”
While Howell will be greatly missed in New Hampshire, the entire Board of Directors and staff wish him the best of luck and know he will be in good hands with Mass Golf as he furthers his career in golf administration.
