Welcome to the New Hampshire Golf Association

The New Hampshire Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to fostering the ideals and traditions of the game of golf in New Hampshire. The NHGA is made up of over 90 member clubs and 21,000 individual golfers. Membership with the NHGA means you have an active Handicap Index at an NHGA member club. You can join online or with an NHGA member golf course.

Join/Renew Online

This Join Online option is intended for golfers who do not belong to a golf course or other club that already offers GHIN Handicaps.  If you belong to a course, please reach out to your home club to activate your GHIN Handicap.  The fee to join the NHGA Online is $55 per season. Member Information

The New Hampshire Golf Association is an association of Member Clubs including public, private, semi-private and non-real estate facilities in the state of New Hampshire. The New Hampshire Golf Association is an affiliate member of the USGA and is also an official representative for its member clubs.

The NHGA works with its member clubs to ensure that they have access to some of the most comprehensive services provided for the game of golf. These services enable clubs to provide a better experience for their members.

The number one goal of the NHGA is to support our member clubs and individual members. In 2016, the NHGA gave back more than $130,000 to our member clubs and to the game of golf in New Hampshire. Our membership is the lifeblood of the NHGA and our ability to provide the highest quality products depends on their support. Our Championship events, Junior Tour, and education programs are all supported by NHGA membership.

The NHGA provides a variety of services to its member clubs, their members, and the general golfing community of New Hampshire. Services are provided through our professional staff, consultants, and a strong volunteer base that stretches across the state.

Service for NHGA Members & Member Clubs include:

Championships – The NHGA host approximately 20 Championship golf events throughout the year. Competitions are open to golfers of all ages and abilities. Our events are hosted exclusively by NHGA member courses.

Handicap Services – The Golf Handicap Index Network (GHIN) is promoted and supported by the NHGA. Currently, there are approximately 100 clubs with 21,000 individual members on the handicap system. The NHGA strives to provide outstanding customer service and education on the handicap system.

Course Rating & Measurement – The NHGA Course Rating Department is available to measure and rate our member courses at no charge. Our master course raters follow strict USGA guidelines when on-site and are also available to conduct seminars on course rating and measurement throughout the year.

BlueGolf Tournament Managament (TM) – BlueGolf TM is available to NHGA member clubs at no cost. This technology solution will enable member clubs to administer leagues, member-guests, club championships and other club events. For more information, contact the NHGA office at 603-219-0371 or /join.

Junior Golf Programs – The NHGA conducts the Girls and Boys State Junior Championship, the NHGA Junior Golf Tour and the NHGA Parent-Child Championship. Events are held at NHGA member courses and open to players of various ages and skill levels.

Publications & Information – The NHGA offers an eRevision email as well as a bi-monthly eNewsletter. These publications provide information about the NHGA and its programs, tournament information, bulletins, and other golf related information.

Rules of Golf Services – The NHGA hosts a Rules of Golf clinic each year in the spring and is available to host a workshop at any member club during the year.

Internships in Golf Administration – The NHGA is an annual recipient of a grant from the USGA for a PJ Boatwright Intern. This internship is focused on golf administration and is open to any individual who is interested in a career in golf administration.

USGA Liaison – The NHGA maintains close contact with the USGA’s Northeast Regional Affairs Director to monitor national issues, process amateur reinstatement's, and assist with USGA Championship qualifying rounds.
